Title Description
Air Pressure: Essentially - the amount of air inside the tyre. Measured in either pounds per square inch (psi) or bars. The correct pressure for tyres can usually be found in the vehicle handbook and often on the flap to your petrol tank.
Alignment Alignment is a process that ensures the suspension and wheels in association with the steering are in accordance with the manufacturers specification for the optimal way the wheels should be pointing.
Aspect Ratio This is a way of expressing a tyre's height as a percentage of its section width. This figure is always found on the sidewall of the tyre.
Balancing Tyre balancing is a process to ensure that the when the tyre and the wheel spin their weight is equally distributed.
Bead A ring of steel wire, within a rubber ‘wrapper’, that helps to hold the tyre to the rim.
Casing This is the skeleton of the tyre sitting underneath the tread and sidewalls.
Cold Inflation Pressure This is the tyre pressure before the tyre has been able to heat up from driving.
Cold weather tyres Tyre designed to give better grip below temperatures of 7 degrees. Also known as winter tyres but snow tyres are something different.
Footprint The area of the tyre's tread that is in actual contact with the ground.
Innerliner In a tubeless tyre, the innerliner prevents air from seeping out of the tyre.
Bar Metric unit for air pressure (1 bar = 14.50326 psi).
Load Index This is a code that ranges from 0 to 279 that quantifies the maximum weight a tyre can bear at the spped indicated by the speed symbol under certain service conditions.
Low profile tyres A description of tyres that are quite ‘thin’ in comparison to the radius of the wheel.
Maximum Inflation Pressure The maximum pressure that a tyre can be inflated to.
Pounds per square inch (psi) The imperial unit for air pressure.
Rim The metal edge of the wheel on which the bead is seated enabling the tyre to be supported.
Rim Diameter The diameter of the rim bead seats.
Rim Width Distance between the two opposite inside edges of the rim flanges.
Rolling Resistance The energy needed to keep a tyre moving at a constant speed. A low rolling resistance means less energy is being used to keep a tyre moving.
Tyre Made of a mixture of rubber, chemicals, fabric and metal their job is to give the car traction on the road in a variety of conditions, and to cushion the car from shock.
Section Width The measurement of the tyre from side to side excluding any additional sidewall items such as raised letters.
Shoulder Found where the sidewall and tread meet.
Sidewall The area between the bead and the start of the tread.
Sipes Slits in the tread designed to improve grip in wet conditions.
Size Used to identify a specific tyre. It includes width, construction type, aspect ratio and rim size.
Speed Rating Speed rating to indicate the range of speeds at which a tyre can carry a load under a range of conditions. Ratings are categorised from A-Z.
Tyre Information Information on the recommended pressure, rim size and load capacity can be found in your vehicle handbook and sometimes on the inside sill of the drivers door.
Tread The part of the tyre that comes into contact with the road.
Treadwear Indicator Narrow bands in the tread grooves that provide a visual warning to a tyre needs changing, since they can only be seen if the tread has worn below the 1.6mm threshold.
Tread Width Tread width is the portion of the tyres width that is covered by a tread pattern.
Underinflation The condition that exists when there is not sufficient air pressure in a tyre.

Maintaning Correct Tyre Pressure Correct tyre pressure can help to extend the life of your tyre, improve vehicle safety and maintain fuel efficiency. Pressure is measured by calculating the amount of air that has been pumped into the inner lining of your tyre in pounds force(PSI).
The manufacturer of your vehicle specifies the suitable pressure, and it is your responsibility to make sure that the pressure is checked and corrected on a regular basis, at least every couple of weeks.
Tyre Age While tyres contain anti-oxidising chemicals to significantly slow down the rate of ageing, they actually need to be in use to slow down the ageing process. In other words, infrequent use and poor storage and can accelerate the ageing process and render them unroadworthy. Low mileage, older cars tend to be most at risk from premature ageing - as motorists assume there is no problem if they can still see plenty of tread.
Tyre ageing is commonly identified by small cracks (crazing) appearing in the sidewall but in most circumstances tread depth can be used as a suitable indication of when tyres should be replaced – as tyre treads generally wear out before the ageing effect becomes a problem.
Wheel alignment Incorrect alignment can result in rapid irregular tyre wear and can even affect the handling and safety of the vehicle.
Wheel alignment can be affected by driving against a kerb, hitting a pothole in the road or by excessive wear to steering or suspension components. Alignment of wheels and tyres to the specification required by your vehicle is an important way to guarantee a smooth ride and to get the most out of your tyres.
The direction and angle at which tyres are set are both important. Wheel alignment or 'tracking' involves checking the direction and angle against vehicle manufacturers' specifications. These are often described as toe in, toe out, positive camber or negative camber.
'Toe' refers to whether the front of the tyres are closer or further apart than the rear of the tyres. Different types of vehicles need different toe settings to allow for the way that wheels pull either towards each other or apart.
Camber is the inward or outward tilt of a tyre. The camber is set by the vehicle manufacturer, and can be affected by potholes in the road and may need to be adjusted periodically.
It's important to keep an eye out for unusual wear on your tyres, such as premature wear on the inside or outside shoulder, which could be caused by an incorrect camber setting.
Tyre Rotation Rotating the tyres is recommended by all tire manufacturers. Tyre roation involves changing their position on the vehicle from one wheel location to another. This helps to even out tire wear between all the tires so the tires last longer and do not develop abnormal wear patterns.

Because you are providing service to public, it is of much higher importance for taxi drivers to regularly check out their vehicle. 4. Tyres – Check your tyre pressure and make sure they are properly inflated and still have good tread and are not worn or damaged. Properly inflated tyres act as a good adhesive on the road surface which in turn gives you quality control over steering and vehicle handling. It also improves mileage. This check not only saves the life of the owner and passengers of the vehicle but also save the owner’s spending on the tyre and fuel in a longer run.

5. Oil and Brake fluid – Checking that vehicle’s oil and brake fluid are at the right levels will ensure that the car is well maintained and safe to drive. It is advised to check car’s brake fluid every time you open your car’s bonnet for a routine check and changing it is recommended after every 20,000 – 30,000 miles or after 2 years, whichever is earlier. Car’s brake fluid level should never fall below the prescribed level and if it happens, it should be replaced immediately without any delay. To check car’s brake fluid, first, park your car on a plane road. Then switch off the engine. Now insert a dipstick to ensure that oil is at the right level. If it’s below, replace it. And if you ever face any problem or are unsure about it, it is advised you should visit a garage.

6. Headlights – It’s important that the head lights, fog lights, hazard lights, rear lights, Parking lights, side lights, and registration plate lights are all in perfectly working conditions. They should be in compliance with the local motor vehicle law. Well-being of these will provide a safe environment to the passengers. Knowing when and how to change them properly is also important.

7. Use Garage – One should ensure that they use a proper garage instead of just parking the vehicle on the roadside or under direct sunlight. Parking directly under the sun may later have an adverse effect on your vehicle’s colour and it may fade off soon. Also, parking inside the garage will prevent any theft or damage done by kids/animals, etc. It also helps to keep the car clean and dust free.

8. Safeguard Vehicle’s Interiors – You car interiors are of great importance for your business and they must be protected from the spilling of things caused by messy passengers. Cover your seats and wash your seat covers on a regular basis. Replace the seat covers if it gets older or has signs of wear and tear.

9. Get a Car Insurance – God forbid, but anything might happen to your car anytime. Therefore, you need a coverage policy like replacement cover or breakdown coverage that will also safeguard your career as a whole. You can opt out of many policies available in the market to best suit your needs.

• Check all emergency equipment at the start of the journey. Every day of your pick up service, the first thing one must do is a full “circle check” of the cab.

• Check inside the vehicle and clean the garbage which the previous trip passenger might have left. It is recommended to use a good smelling air freshener to remove all the unpleasant smell from the cab.

• Prefer taking the route which is familiar to you. Also, make sure the road you are driving on is wide enough to let you pass the vehicles easily. Driving on the roads that are not wide enough can put a dent on your car.

• It is recommended to always carry a spare key with you in your pocket. In case, if you have mistakenly forgotten your main key inside the vehicle or have dropped it somewhere, at least you have spare key with you to make the things running again without any problem.

• Be extra careful at night shift as this is the time when people drive carelessly around the city causing accidents. Follow your lanes and drive slowly (as per speed limits). Never race with other vehicles.

How To Work Tire Sealant (AIRFIX)

एअरफिक्स टायर सिलंट ट्यूबलेस टायर के लिए काम करता हैं

सिलंट टायर के अंदर होने कि वजह से टायर पंक्चर नहीं होता, और खिल लगने पर हवा कम नहीं होती.

6.7 mm से 38 mm तक के छेद को 0.25 सेकंद से भी कम समय में सील करता हैं.

एअरफिक्स टायर को थंडा रखने में मदद करता है,
और इसी कारण टायर गरम होकर फटने कि संभावना कम हो जाती हैं.

टायर पंक्चर नहीं होने से और टायर नहीं फटने से सड़क दुर्घटना कि संभावना 40% कम होती हैं.

टायर में हवा की मात्रा सही रहने के कारण इंजन पर लोड नहीं आता,
इसी वजह से इंजन लंबे समय तक सही से काम करता हैं.

गाड़ी के गियर और सस्पेंशन सही से काम करते हैं.

गाडी कि गति और माइलेज अच्छी होती हैं.

टायर कि लाईफ 30% बढती हैं

कैसे इस्तेमाल करे-
प्रथम बॉटल को शेक करे(हिलाये)
गाड़ी कें टायर का वाल्व खोले, और पुरी हवा निकालें.
बॉटल को नोझल लगाये, और नोझल का आगे का हिस्सा काट दें.
पाईप का एक हिस्सा नोझल में लगाए, और दुसरा हिस्सा टायर के स्टेम में लगाये.
बॉटल को प्रेस कीजिये और, सिलंट पुरी तरह से अंदर डाल दे.
वाल्व को टायर स्टेम में लगाए, और सही मात्रा में हवा भरें.

एअरफिक्स टायर सिलंट नॉन-टॉक्सिक प्रोडक्ट है.
एअरफिक्ससिलंट नाइट्रोजन और सामान्य हवा के प्रकार में काम करता है.
2 व्हीलर के लिए प्रति टायर 500 मि.ली का उपयोग किया जाता है
4 व्हीलर के लिए प्रति टायर 1000 मि.ली का उपयोग किया जाता है.
